By now, IALEI members are very familiar with the Code Adam program, which was started by the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and reproduced by IALEI. NCMEC has another, similar program, called Take 25. This program encourages parents and guardians to take 25 minutes to talk to their children about ways to be safer at home, on the Internet and in the community. IALEI, in conjunction with NCMEC, is asking that family entertainment centers across the country help get the word out to their customers about Take 25. Just minutes of prevention can make a huge impact in the life of a child. |
